Tory censorship at Conhome Ridley Grove
March 24, 2010 at 10:51 am | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentTaken down from Conservative Home. The Tories really have no idea about online strategy.
Or, it would seem, the economy - check out the lines in bold below.
Key Tory thinkers publicly acknowledge, on a Tory blog, that the party has no economic credibility. No wonder Conhome took it down.
“For the sake of the Party and country, Osborne should resign as shadow chancellor”.
“18 months ago I wrote “It is true that Osborne going would produce a difficult 24 hours; maybe even 48 difficult hours. But if Ken Clarke became Shadow Chancellor then those hours would be forgotten as fast as sterling is falling. Clarke would anger die-hard eurosceptics but who believes Cameron plans much eurosceptic action. The appointment of Clarke would not scupper the eurosceptic agenda, because there isn’t one. What Clarke would bring INSTANTLY is economic credibility……In would come the chancellor who left Brown the golden legacy Labour has squandered. Gone would be the Labour smiles, Labour frowns would return.”
The economy is the number one issue in this election and Osborne is still a liability – behind Cable and Darling in all the polls. Cameron can’t sack Osborne, but Osborne can resign. He could say that he is damaging the partys chances and has decided to put the country and party before his own personal ambition. He can say that he is staying on at Camerons insistence. In some ways it will be humiliating for him, but I predict it would enhance him in the long run.
Go now George, you know it makes sense.“
New Margaret Thatcher-themed nightclub to open in Fulham

New nightclub to be opened in Fulham. Thatcher and 80s themed.
Imagine the scenes – the sons and daughters of the undeserving rich quaffing ironic babycham at tables in the style of a Rubik’s cube. Served, no doubt, by underpaid wage slaves who they’ll think are rilly rude, actually.
Fantastic bit of anti-PR available here. Photographers, please send your pix of Trashed Tories staggering from the club.
We’ll build a gallery of Lanson Louts.
It’s like deja vu all over again.
“We want to open a nightclub that transcends politics but it will be open in time for the general election.” said Gilkes.
And so it begins: Defacing David – the public’s response to the Tory poster campaign General Election 2010

- David Cameron with a Hitler moustache.
- Vandals disrespect the memory of Elvis by outfitting Cameron with a spray-can quiff.

Please DON’T add locations of UNTOUCHED Tory posters here
March 17, 2010 at 1:29 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | Leave a commentIn order to track the terrible wave of graffiti attacks on Tory election 2010 posters first reported here, we’d like you NOT to add the exact locations of UNTOUCHED, UNMARKED Tory election posters in the comments section below.
That would perhaps count as incitement. So don’t do it. Really.*
With your help, we can see exactly where the phooligans might strike next. And alert the authorities.
Together, we can beat this poisonous attack on free speech. Especially if you DON’T buy these.

Same Old Tories – I’ve never voted Tory and I never will
March 17, 2010 at 12:51 pm | Posted in Uncategorized | 2 Comments
The Conservative Party want to help Britain be great again. They want to fix Broken Britain™.
They want your vote.
They want your vote even if you’ve never voted for them before.
However, some people will never, ever vote Tory.
Even if Gordon Brown makes Gary McKinnon look like a master communicator, even if the UK did invade Iraq illegally, even if Blair is a war criminal, even if we kill Afghan wedding guests with impunity, even if we have to carry ID cards, even if civil liberties have undergone a sytematic dismantling for over a decade, even if CCTV plots our moves closer than Orwell could have guessed, even if we as a nation are knelt down with the bankers’ testicles resting prettily on our chins, WE, ALL OF US, WILL NEVER VOTE TORY.
The reason is simple: THEY ARE THE SAME OLD TORIES.
We grew up with Portillo and Howard, with Howe and Thatcher, with Heseltine and Lilley, with Lawson and Tebbit, with the Poll Tax Riots and The Criminal Justice Bill, with 3 million unemployed and the miners’ strike, with Heseltine and the Falklands, with The Sun and Wapping and Murdoch and heroin and the threat of nuclear war.
With Paul Daniels and Phil Collins and Jim Davidson playing the cultural mood music.
The thought of our children growing up in a Tory country, with Gove and Cameron and Osborne, chills us.
The Tory Party are blitzing us with their propaganda. But some creative souls are defacing their posters.
This is of course illegal, immoral and very, very funny, and we do not encourage it in any way.
In fact, so strongly do we disapprove of this attack on free speech, this grassroots graphic sedition, this samizdat assault on Her Majesty’s opposition (long may they reign) that we will publish any examples of defaced election 2010 Tory Party posters here on this site.
Please send JPEGs or links to sameoldtories@fastmail.co.uk and we’ll gather them here.
There’s also a prize for the most imaginative and creative and insultingly amusing re-edit of the Tories risible, invisible “I’ve Never Voted Tory Before” campaign. We’ll pop it on Youtube and have a good laugh at it.
Right, over to you…
